What Past Attendees Are Saying
-
“Dear Kiffer, What an extraordinary time we all had at the Bellingham 2025 conference. If one of the objects for attendees was understanding how to make a business out of writing, this definitely made the whole thing worthwhile. There was so much help there from a variety of people, both successful writers and those who look after their interests, that I, at any rate, came away with a very different idea of how to proceed down the tricky path to publishing successfully. It was also fascinating to see and talk to such a variety of authors, from all over the country and, indeed, the world.” John Middleton, Cape Town, South Africa, author of The Dark Lords.
- :WOW! Was CAC25 the greatest conference ever or what?! The conference really was outstanding, Kiffer, and I wanted to thank you and everyone at Chanticleer for such a great experience. At the awards banquet, I sat beside Jacki from Australia (who won a grand prize for her book) and she said she and her husband had never experienced an event such as Chanticleer. I asked her what about it was so special to them, and she said the people first, then the quality of the workshops, and lastly the beautiful venue. They loved Bellingham! I shared that every year the conference is truly amazing for all those reasons and hoped they would come again next year – and for Jacki to keep writing! Much love and appreciation to all of you at Chanticleer.” — Gail Noble Sanderson, author of Drew Davies Railway Mysteries
- Having worked in the corporate world, I’ve been to more than a few conferences. At most, there is an underlying sense of expectation around the idea, “We’re here to learn something,” but no real group camaraderie. I learned a lot of useful stuff at the just completed CAC, but what to me was the most memorable aspect was the energy, the pervasive positive vibes if you will, of so many creative people there not only to gain new knowledge, but to share support and encouragement. – Dave Lager, author of the Ro Delahanty thriller/Suspense series
- “CAC was a spectacular gathering of authors from around the world. Every workshop I attended was exceptional, well organized, and extremely informative.” — Denise Frisino, author of Storms From A Clear Sky, Hemingway First Place Winner
- “It was an outstanding event. The presenters were knowledgeable and open, and there was a true camaraderie among authors, presenters, and the Chanticleer staff— I’ve never seen that at any other conference.”
— Gail Hertzog, author of Crossing The Ford, Goethe & Laramie First Place Winner
